Recently there has been quite a lot of media coverage of the expiry dates on safety equipment such as car seats. I was reading a very detailed blog the other day and many parents were commenting on it. The blog mentioned metal fatigue, deterioration of plastic, strapping wearing out and other similar issues.
It then really struck me that many parents will spend quite a lot of time debating and deciding which car seat to buy and then pay out quite a tidy sum of money for the right product for them. I suspect that the same pattern goes on for other safety items such as bicycle helmets and stair gates etc.
What always puzzles me is why some parents go to enormous lengths to ensure that the safety equipment that they buy is top quality – but don’t ever think about getting any first aid training so that they could provide life saving treatment in the case of an accident or incident involving their child when they are not in a car seat or on a bicycle etc.
There may be lots of reasons why you not have undertaken any first aid training, such as: -
- You can’t find a class that is local
- The times of the classes are really inconvenient
- Childcare arrangements can be a nightmare
Being a mother myself I recognise that the parents of small children have special requirements. So I have developed a training package that you can access 24 hours a day 7 days a week, whenever you want to. It has everything that you need to know to keep children aged from birth to 12 years safe in the case of any incident or emergency situation.

For less than the cost of a visit to the hairdresser or a family visit to the zoo you can begin to learn the skill to be a life-saver.
